Hello,

I would like to change the size and color of the arrow that by default connects the comment box to the cell.

In Excel 2003, there is indeed an area called "Arrows" in the "Colors and Lines" menu of the comment format, but this section is not accessible (one wonders why it exists.....).

I've searched the web extensively, but I can't find anything on this subject.

Is there a simple method to modify this arrow, and if not, can it be done in VBA and with what instructions?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.6.3

"There is indeed a section called 'Arrows' in the 'Colors and Lines' menu of the comment format, but this part is not accessible (one wonders why it exists.....)"

This dialog box (which is not a menu) offers tabs whose content is common to many objects, not just comments. When a function/command/option does not apply to the selected object, well, it is grayed out and inaccessible... That's why it exists.

OK, thank you all three. You confirm what I was thinking.
It's a bit surprising and frustrating not to be able to intervene on this part of the comment, especially since we can modify its form using the drawing menu.

I’ll leave the subject open in case anyone has an idea on the question.

Hello,

In my opinion, it is not possible.
You can only change the form.
I hope to be contradicted.

No; that seems perfectly accurate to me!

Since then, there have been some changes:

Could you be more specific?
I have carefully read the entire document, and I found nowhere how to modify the arrow format!
I also haven't noticed any significant changes compared to Excel 2003 that was mentioned in this discussion from September 2010...
