Well then, I'm going to address your doubts.
There won't be a season 2 of Great Teacher Onizuka... They created a lame ending to quickly wrap up the anime... Onizuka doesn't go to America in the manga. If you want the continuation, pick up from volume 13 or 14 when they get back from the beach.
If you're angry, I understand. I was really pissed off when I found out about it myself. ><'

There’s another anime I really liked called HotD (High School Of The Dead), it’s so awesome!
But if you want something funny, I recommend Baka to Test to Shokanju.

Me too, but it’s soon going to be 20 years since the anime is "over," so there’s very little chance that the anime will return one day, but hey, we’re not losing hope either ;)

I know there was an interview apparently announcing a season 2 of GTO. But maybe it's just a rumor circulating on the internet...
Ultimately, we shouldn't lose hope even if there's only a tiny chance left!

If you're talking about anime, there has never been any project regarding a sequel.

However, the original manga has been back for over a year under the name "GTO Shonan 14 Days."

There isn't a season 2 of GTO, but I would rather recommend reading the 25 volumes of GTO; I think it's much better. What disappoints me about the anime is the quality... But also, a new GTO series is going to start!
There are also GTO YOUNG, which is Onizuka's past when he formed the Onibaku gang. It's cool, but I still prefer the regular GTO with the 25 volumes.

Hello. I dreamt about it for several years before coming to terms with it: GTO will never have a season 2. As of the latest news, a TV series inspired by the manga has reportedly been released in Japan. Personally, I haven't tried to watch this show, as I seriously doubt it can be as funny as the manga. Bye.

Hello, GTO finally has a season 2 scheduled for 2024! It certainly took some time, but it is indeed coming. Unfortunately, we don’t have much information about it, but I imagine it’s a sequel and not a remake since the season is called GTO: Revival. I hope the people who started this forum in 2010 haven't become too impatient and are still as motivated to finally see a continuation. Enjoy watching everyone, I hope you’ll like the sequel!
