Hello, I would like to know what the Backup set document located on my Drive A is for, as it takes up a lot of space (around 420 gigabytes, I'm not exaggerating). When I open it, there are many Backup Files with a date, and when I open one, there are lots of files in zip format named Backup files numbered from 1 to many. I am on Vista. Thank you for your answers.
Configuration: Windows Vista / Firefox 3.6.8

Hello
these files are the system restore backups that Vista creates, you can delete those older than a month if your computer is stable
you may also find if your Vista is set up for it, the backup files which should be made on an external medium
keeping system backups older than a month is not really useful
to free up space, use CCleaner to clean old files, the registry, and then defragment the disk, this way you will gain space
best regards

Thank you, very clear and efficient for saving space!
Thank you very much for your response, hoping that I can manage to do all of this well, as I'm not very good with computers. To delete them, do I just need to do something like right-click and delete, or should I do it through software like CCleaner?
Ah, I have another question. If I delete them, is there a risk that my computer will malfunction or start to work less well? For now, it’s working fine but slow to start up ^^. If so, how can I recover backup files? Or is it better not to touch them? Or should I back them up on an external hard drive? Because 420 gigabytes of backups seems strange to me...
