Hello,

I hope I'm posting on the right forum, I'm not used to posting on forums.

So, my problem is that last night, I tried to wake the PC from sleep mode, and the screen is split in two, with my Windows desktop on the left (half) and nothing on the right, it's black.
I should mention that I searched for several hours last night for similar cases on various forums, even trying proposed solutions but without success. I also completely uninstalled/reinstalled the drivers for my graphics card (Nvidia GTX 470) but still no luck. So I'm posting, I'm desperate ><

I also tried changing the display resolution from 800*600 to 1920*1080 (native resolution). Same result. And when I click "Detect", it shows a second display as "undetected" lol on the available output Nvidia GTX GeForce 470 VGA, whereas the screen is connected via a DVI cable. I also changed the DVI port on the card (I have 2) without success... I suspect that the detected display output must be the right side of my screen (the part that remains black)

I don't know what to do anymore; I hope someone has a solution, please :) I've explained my problem and the solutions I've tried, so please don't suggest the same ones again :) Thank you.

Config:

Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit
GC: Nvidia GTX 470
M.B: Gigabyte P55A-UD3R
Screen: Acer GD245HQ (3D Vision, etc.)

P.S: I don't think (at least I really hope so :) that it's a manufacturing defect in the screen since I've only had this new PC for barely 2 weeks. And don't mind the fact that it says Vista, I'm posting from my laptop.

Thank you all in advance,

Hamlin

Configuration: Windows Vista / Firefox 3.6.8

Hello, I have the same problem on a HP laptop
and when I connect it to a screen, the whole thing is visible
so if you've found the solution, I would be happy to have it.
