Hello
I also have a problem with BitComet; the downloaded files are always in a BitComet incomplete state on my computer; at the end of the download (which actually took 2 days). I am desperate, this is the first time this has happened. Is it the original file that was not good? Please help me.

Hello,
I downloaded files with Bit Comet, but I can't read them; a playback window appears but it doesn't work.
How do we do this, please?
Thank you very much!

Hello everyone, my name is Pauline
I'm having a few small problems with my internet connection since I installed BitComet on my computer
Every time I'm on it and I want to go online, it says: "page not found."
Even if I stop BitComet, I still can't access the internet; I have to restart my computer.
I followed the advice of an internet user who said I should test the computer's speed 5 times and then take an average, dividing by 8, and putting it in BitComet's bandwidth. I found 476 kbit/s and 59.5 kB/s
but the problem remains the same, and on top of that, BitComet no longer downloads.
I recently installed 1GB of RAM in my computer,
* I have Windows XP Pro
* I have Nod32 as my antivirus
* I'm subscribed to Numéricâble
Could there be a link between the connection problem and BitComet?
Thank you in advance...

Here I also had the same problem as you with Bitcomet; every time I downloaded something, it said: "page not found." And it even blocked access to the internet; on top of that, it uninstalled the IP address, so I completely removed it. Now there's no problem, but I'm looking for another software for downloading films, music, etc.
It is probably a configuration issue. Have you checked that the software is configured correctly? Or maybe it's a firewall (Windows' if you have SP2, or another one you installed) that's blocking your BitComet... you can explore those avenues. Otherwise, I would recommend using Azureus for torrents; it's the best, and there's no need to configure it, as the default settings are optimal!
Hi,
I have a problem. I have BitComet and it was working very well until I started using Shareaza as well. The issue is that when I download something, it downloads it in Shareaza instead of BitComet, which is what I want... how can I do that????????
Help! ;)
Thanks in advance.

BitComent is banned by most other BitTorrent software because it does not respect certain things (such as "private" bits, for example).
Take µTorrent, which is more efficient, fast, and lightweight.

But in any case, please respect the forum's rules (no piracy).

The thing is, you'll have a harder time downloading with BitComet since it is banned from an increasing number of trackers.
But you do as you wish...

BitTorrent is a peer-to-peer software:
http://sebsauvage.net/comprendre/p2p/
it allows you to download files.
where to find them?
Generally on websites.
For example, to download Ubuntu (Linux): ftp://releases.ubuntu.com/releases/edgy/ubuntu-6.10-desktop-i386.iso.torrent

Hello everyone
My question may sound stupid, but I’m new to BitComet and the torrent system in general, so I wanted to know if anyone knows how to save the files downloaded by BitComet to the computer? Because I can only read them through the software, although I did manage, once, to save a file in "My Documents"...
Thank you for your help!

Hi, very simple, BitComet saves everything by itself. You go to
MY COMPUTER-----C: drive, then Downloads, and that's where it stores everything.
After that, you can tell BitComet to save elsewhere; just right-click on your torrent when you download it
even before... and you select 'File to Move' and in there, there’s another path. BUT IT'S A PATH, SO IT MEANS ELSEWHERE, BUT STILL IN Downloads, SO YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO MOVE IT OTHER PLACES. It will say the file can't be moved because it's not the original, it has to be the one from Downloads. That's it, the latest post is dated, but oh well........I hope I was able to help even if you must have found it out already
