Good evening everyone So, I would like to know how to remove embedded subtitles from a movie, knowing that they are on the film and not below (on the black bar), so we can't cut the bottom of the film. Thank you all!

I had the same problem, the videos were in AVI OGC format and did not play
on my TV via USB port. I re-encoded them with Format Factory to AVI format
Mpeg4 (xvid) the rest by default and the sound 44100 Hz 128 kb/s and to my great surprise the videos play on my TV and the subtitles disappeared without damaging the videos which kept their original dimensions, only the subtitles
are gone.

because we can only

or blur them
but in both cases we lose part of the image.

well, I think it's not possible unless you have a very powerful software or incredible patience because you can modify image by image but know that there are 24 images per second
that's a lot for a movie!!

The simplest thing, in my opinion, is to put the new subtitles in the black bar since it is empty.

I suppose your movie is a downloaded film!
The easiest thing is to re-download it without subtitles

Hello!
If you're on VLC, press the "c" key while watching your video!
This will crop the image and you won't see any subtitles anymore!

To remove subtitles on VLC, go to the interface, click on Tools, scroll down to Preferences, the interface opens, click on the left "on Subtitles/OSD", uncheck; On-Screen Display; uncheck, Embed Title, etc....; uncheck Enable Subtitles
and that's it!!!! And the image is perfect!!!!

Except that you are not answering the question ^^ since if this option works it means that the subtitles are NOT embedded...

It is indeed impossible since they are embedded in the image at the time of compilation.

Good evening
You need to go to the orange or DDR remote, or another one, then in the settings, look for the subtitles and replace "French" with "none". It should work; it worked for me. Hopefully, it lasts.
