Nokia 6300 won't turn on

Hello,

my phone, a Nokia 6300, won't turn on anymore!

It had already been turning off for no reason for a few days, and increasingly frequently. This morning, as usual, the phone turned off overnight, but this time it wouldn't turn back on! :(

When I press the power button, only the blue lights on the side come on and stay on as long as I hold the button down. When I plug it in, the lights blink at regular intervals; I'm not sure if that means it's charging or not, but the battery is charged. (I went to a phone shop this morning where they tested the battery, tried a new one, and seeing that it didn't resolve the issue, they told me they couldn't do anything more and suggested I buy a new one, which my wallet would like to avoid!)

Fortunately, I had the good sense to back up my data two days ago, so I have nothing to lose if I have to reset it (but I can't find online how to do it).

Does anyone have any ideas on how to turn it on/format it/get it working?

Thank you very much!!

Configuration: Windows 7

Is your phone still under warranty? Which operator are you with?

When starting up, try holding down the buttons: 3 + hang up + star

Unfortunately, it's no longer under warranty :(

I got it with a Bouygues plan, but I'm now using it in Australia (with Telstra). That's precisely the problem; Telstra told me this morning that they only take care of phones they sold themselves (even for a fee, they wouldn't repair it for me). But the nice seller was willing to test it with a new battery and then told me it looked more like a software issue.

That's why before buying another one, I'd like to know if it's possible to simply do a complete reset of the phone?

try at startup to hold the keys: 3 + hang up + star

normally otherwise it is possible to send it or drop it off at an authorized Nokia repairer (see the link for Nokia Care) if it is under warranty and the repair will be free

get informed to know where the nearest authorized Nokia repairer is located

obviously you need the purchase receipt ...

Yeah, I feel like I'm in trouble!

3 + hang up + star at startup doesn't work, I held it for more than 30s without success :(
And of course, I don't have the invoice...

Anyway, thanks for your help jlpjlp.

give it a try at a Nokia Care center to see if they accept it even without the receipt or the cost of the repair

    good continuation

      yes,

if I don't have a miracle solution, that's what I would do next week, but since it takes an hour to get there and there's a chance they will refuse...
