Messenger: my avatar disappears on its own

Hello everyone,
I’m asking for your help and opinion about a small issue I’ve been experiencing lately on Windows Live Messenger.
In fact, it’s very simple to explain: my avatar (the one in Messenger) disappears by itself after about 5 or 10 minutes, even when Messenger is running and I’m not using it. However, the online profile avatar does not disappear.
I have to re-set it each time, and after a while that becomes annoying. I should mention that I’m not on a beta version, and I have the latest stable version. What’s going on?

Same problem:
my avatar runs away! The message added after my Username disappears and as soon as I log in via my email inbox, boom I appear online in MSN! It must be related to the new email inbox features, but honestly, if it’s to have bugs, they would have been better off not changing anything! Moreover, the said changes, personally, are useless! v_v
