Hello,
here's my problem: I have an Acomax external hard drive, my PC detected it well,
but nothing shows up. What should I do?

If Windows does not recognize your external hard drive, please check the following points:
In the control panel:
* Double-click on Administrative Tools,
* Click on Computer Management
* Click on Disk Management.
o If the external hard drive appears, it is necessary to partition it, then format it so that it appears in My Computer.
+ See here: New hard drive: what to do?
o If the disk does not appear:
+ Test with another USB cable
+ Try unplugging the drive, turning it off, plugging it back in, then turning it on
+ Install the latest motherboard drivers, including USB drivers!
+ Check the hard drive manufacturer's website for any specific drivers. Also check if they offer a section with frequently asked questions (FAQ)
+ Check (if possible) the jumper position in the rack (Sata1/Sata2 for a Sata drive) or set it to master (IDE Drive)
+ Connect the hard drive directly to the motherboard to see if the issue is due to the enclosure or the hard drive. -
Yes, thank you, I am there as you told me, but it's showing "not initialized" and "the device is not ready."
