To convert an audio file, you can use the excellent CDEX but after, "citt loi A" I don't know.

I don't know if you still need information, but the Windows media player converts files very well, it just needs to be in wave format.

An unconditional fan of FormatFactory, I was surprised to discover that it does not support conversion to CCITT A-Law.
SOX, on the other hand, open source for Linux or Windows, is perfect! -
Hello,
To convert your file to the desired format (wav to ccitt law A), you can use the Windows Sound Recorder.-

Start by converting your mp3 file to wav pcm or wav adpcm using a software available online like this one for example:
https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/audio-musique/24551-xrecode-iii-portable/
Once the file is converted to wav, you can retrieve it using the Windows Sound Recorder. -

Thank you for your short, clear, and concise explanations; compliments.
I still need to resolve the tape recorder's opening. When I click on the tape recorder, only a mini window appears with "start recording" without a tab (file ...); the only available commands are start or stop.
For your information, I am on Vista 64 bits ... no information on the tape recorder in the FAQs
Thank you for taking the time; I will continue ...
