Signal hors de portée

Hello,

I am having a little issue with my computer (Vista). During normal startup, I get the following message: "input signal out of range - change settings to 1680 x 1050 - 60Hz"
I know Windows is working because I can hear the Vista startup sound, but nothing else... I only see this message on a black background and then the screen goes to sleep.

I'm not very tech-savvy, but I'm not completely clueless either. I understood that I needed to change the resolution... so I started the PC in safe mode, went to advanced display settings -> list all modes. The one requested by my screen (1680 x 1050) does not appear, so I tested most of the provided resolutions but nothing works, I still can't start Vista normally...

I have browsed through a lot of forums, but none of the solutions I've seen have worked... HELP !!!!!

Configuration: Windows Vista / Internet Explorer 7.0

Start Windows normally
If you have a password on your session, log in (even without display this should be possible)

Let Windows load quietly and then perform the following operations:
-Press the Windows key and R simultaneously (Windows + R) (this opens the Run window) - Type: Rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL Desk.cpl,@0, 3 (this opens the display properties to the advanced properties tab) -Press Tab once (the key next to A with 2 crossed arrows) -Press the down arrow 3 times (these 2 operations allow you to select the 32-bit color mode) -Press Enter wait 5 seconds then press Tab again and then Enter (this confirms the choice of 32 bits) If your display has not returned -Press Esc (to close the display properties) (you need to close it and then reopen it to make sure the selection is in the right place) -Reopen it: Rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL Desk.cpl,@0, 3 -Press the right arrow 4 times then press Enter. If your display returns, click yes, it's finished otherwise wait 30 seconds If your display has not returned -Press Esc (to close the display properties) (you need to close it and then reopen it to make sure the selection is in the right place) -Reopen it: Rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL Desk.cpl,@0, 3 -Press the left arrow 4 times and press Enter if your display returns, click yes, it's finished otherwise wait 30 seconds If your display has not returned -Press Esc (to close the display properties) (you need to close it and then reopen it to make sure the selection is in the right place) -Reopen it: Rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL Desk.cpl,@0, 3 -Press Tab 3 times -Press Enter -Press Tab 5 times -Press the right arrow 2 times -Press Tab 2 times -Press the 6 key on your numeric keypad (make sure it is active) press Enter if your display returns, click yes, If at this point you still have no display, retry all the steps (a single typo, and the commands I gave you will not work If after retrying it still does not work, let me know.

yes, we need to get in
still nothing? hmm... unless you have another screen at home (that you could connect instead of the other one) I don't see much else possible... since when do you have this problem?

I just tried the manip again just in case and nothing!

No, I don't have a second screen... I'll see if someone can lend me theirs but, you know... it might have the same problem...
Is there any way to make adjustments in safe mode? Although I've already tried several resolution settings in 32bit...

Otherwise, why do I have this? I need to ask my dear and tender, he was the last one to use the computer... he just told me that "everything got big on the screen" and then he turned off the computer. And so, when I turned it on yesterday morning: "input signal out of range..."
