Remove stuttering on samsung nc10

Hello,

Having some issues with my sound card on my main computer, I am trying to watch my movies/series/anime on my Samsung NC10 netbook, using VLC.

However, the images are choppy, and the video gets really bad several times during playback, just like when I try to fast forward the video..

I’m not a computer expert (far from it!!), but I put in 2GB of RAM and removed all unnecessary startup programs, but that didn't change anything.

Could someone help me watch my videos without any problems please? Especially since my other computer is falling apart, so I will soon have to rely only on my netbook..

Thank you in advance.

Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 7.0

    Hello
The videos are compressed with sophisticated algorithms.
During playback, the processor must perform the decompression calculation, which means regenerating each frame at the bitrate's pace.
This is a parameter used during compression.
To eliminate stuttering, it would be necessary to lower both the resolution and the bitrate on the video files being played (or to increase the power of the PC's processor).

Sure, thank you, I understand better.

However, I have no idea how to do that on VLC..

      Thank you for your help.

You can't do anything at reading.
It's at the time of file creation that this is addressed.

So I can't do anything about that at all? Because obviously I'm not the one creating these files..
It's horrible, I can't follow an episode properly..!

      Hello
You have the option to "transcode" it
But doing it every time is going to be tedious...
Is your PC old? Try it at a friend's place to see...

Well no, it is quite recent, but it's a netbook, for which I put in 2GB of RAM to replace the 1GB. Is that what increases the processor's power? Otherwise, how to do it? I'm really not an expert in the field, I remind you... :s
