Hello,
I have a problem with my computer that won't start anymore. It displays a message saying that "Hardlock.sys is in my system."
Can you please help me?

According to this, hardlock.sys is specific to NT and shouldn't be in XP.
The solution could therefore be to boot in MS-DOS, check for the presence of hardlock.sys in one of the indicated locations, and delete it, after making a copy on an external medium, diskette or USB stick, just in case.
As for the reason for its presence: the Hardlock.sys driver is used for copy protection of certain software. Before the last shutdown of your PC, wasn't that what you did?
