Hello,
I connected my PC (Acer Aspire 5737z) to my Samsung Full HD television, but the problem is that the sound is not coming from the TV but from the speakers. Before, as soon as I connected my HDMI cable and played a video, the sound was automatically transmitted through the TV.
I then went to the audio device manager and all my 3 devices are activated, but for NVIDIA HDMI Output it says not connected and when I right-click, only the options "show connected/disabled devices" are accessible and the rest is grayed out.
After looking on several forums, I saw that in most cases it was a driver issue and that it simply needed to be updated, so I went to the device manager then Audio Controllers => NVIDIA HDMI Output => update the driver software.
But after a few moments, a message informs me that the drivers are already up to date.
So I don't see where the problem is since my audio output is activated and the hardware seems to work properly, plus the drivers are up to date.
Having no alternatives left, I am therefore seeking your help, which would be more than welcome since I've been struggling with this issue for a few days.
Thank you

I tried turning off my PC, unplugging the HDMI cable and the power cord, then I plugged the power cord back in, turned my PC on, and reconnected the HDMI cable, and everything was perfect!
I hope this helps you ^^

In fact, you need to (and just need to) disable the speakers in the sound section of the control panel, the switch then happens automatically.
