    Hello,

Just use the "print screen" key on your keyboard, open the "paint" application under Windows, and select "paste" from the edit menu.

If anyone is interested, I am using Windows 7, which looks a lot like Vista, and there is a software included in the version called Snipping Tool!
Very easy to use, you can make a rectangular selection or a freeform shape... Good luck!

    Hello,

If you only want to copy the image of the active window,
you press both Alt and Print Screen at the same time.

When you click on Print Screen, nothing necessarily happens, then in Paint you just need to press Ctrl+V to paste or right-click with the mouse to paste.

You press "Print Screen" and then go to Paint and press "Ctrl" and "V" at the same time.

I couldn't do it either until today

I went on a forum and I found it :D

Forget about the print screen, system etc.

Go to Start > type Snipping Tool or if you don’t have anything “Snip” > you will see an icon “Snipping Tool” click it then capture the image and hit the disk (save) then you take an image host and copy/paste the code you need that coordinates with the site where you want to put it

    Good evening

You see the F1 to F12 keys at the top of the keyboard, the "Print Screen" key is located after F12.

I would like to take a screenshot, but within an image. Let me explain, I have to do a maturity project on a software, so I opened my software and I wanted to use the homepage of the software as the title page. But when I do printscreen and paste it into Paint, it captures the whole screen, and I can't get it into the format I want (that is, just the image). Is this possible, or do I need a capture program for that?

      Hello dedel
Here’s a tip to keep only the homepage
Once the whole of your copy is displayed in Paint
Click on the selection rectangle and select the homepage
Keeping the mouse cursor within the selection, right-click > Cut
In the menu bar > Edit > Undo
Do it a second time > Edit > Undo
Then > Edit > Paste and you'll only have the homepage
All that's left is to go to > File > Save as
Now, if you want a great capture software, you can use Fast Stone Capture (the free version)
I still want to give you a little advice
In the future, avoid asking a question in an ongoing thread; it's better to create a new one
This advice applies to all question askers because in the end it creates confusion (to say the least) and you don’t know who is responding to whom

You need to take a screenshot, open Paint, and press "CTRL V" at the same time.

I don't understand why to open Paint.
The document to "print" is either pasted in an email or in an "Office" or "Word" document.
Then we can do whatever we want with it.

Yes, but how do you capture images while you’re playing (you’re playing and then there’s a beautiful image you want to take and set as wallpaper)?

To take a screenshot, I used the CaptScreen software. It's very simple; there are only 3 buttons, which is suitable for those who have a bit of trouble like me: http://www.captscreen.fr/
