nonexistent sent items folder Solved

Question

Hello,

on my laptop I don't have the "Sent Items" folder - I have the rest like Inbox, Outbox but not "Sent Items"
my messages arrive fine in the Inbox
they are sent out properly but are not archived in the "Sent Items" folder as this folder doesn't exist (but I verified they are received by the recipients)
Could you please help me create this folder because I'm lost - it's the first time this has happened to me... no issues on my desktop.

Hello, I have the same problem with the accounts I create on Outlook 2016: no "Sent Items" folder.  OS Windows 8.1 / Office Professional Plus 2016 32-bit / Orange IMAP account.

Thank you in advance if you can find the issue.. this morning I checked again but couldn't understand -
Also, I wanted to check the "sent items" but I can't find where it is.
Because after reading some forums on this question, there are some "forumers" who say that there might be a language incompatibility - French/English - sent items/and sent items.
But I think it would be the same for receiving messages and that works

Good evening, Pasthou, I need help understanding....
my issue with the nonexistent "Sent Items" folder - I found it by going to tools/IMAP Folders/CLICK on the Sent Items folder and OK.
So, the folder has appeared next to the Inbox.
Very good, I was happy... but I'm still testing by sending messages that go out well, are well received but do not archive in the "Sent Items" folder...
after browsing some forums about these stories of emails not archiving in this folder, I see a story about language incompatibility French/English.

So, I immediately go to tools/accounts/properties/IMAP/Special folders.. there was an X ;;; STORE my special items on the IMAP server.
and in the path for Sent Items == sent items... so I changed sent items to "Elements envoyés"... and the rest, namely drafts, deleted items, and junk, I left in English (I still have the folders)...
I do more tests... sending messages and now they archive properly in the "Elements envoyés" folder.
I'm happy but I don't like not understanding... Why did I have to put the term in French while the other folders remain in English in IMAP, and work well?

Hello mawb,

I'm sorry but I'm not very familiar with Gmail, I created a Gmail account
that I only use as a decoy for the Internet, because you know you should never give
your real main email account, that way my main account isn't cluttered with spam, phishing or anything else....

Try to contact Google for your problem... but I'm a bit like you, I also like to understand why it's not working...
