Reinstall the Avast icon next to the clock

If you are on XP, right-click on the taskbar and then properties
> notification area:
you can choose which icons are displayed at the bottom right.

Hello, Zorg, thank you for your response: a problem arises when I click on "Customize" in the notification area: there are two locations (current locations where Avast does not appear and previous locations where Avast does appear). In this second location, I click on the icon, then on "Always show", finally on OK, BUT the icon still does not appear in the taskbar?? Now, just for your info, the "Ask your question" section has been modified because previously, the specifications of my computer (namely, among other things, Windows XP) were AUTOMATICALLY specified; I do not know how to permanently reintegrate this information. I suggest you uninstall it and do a reinstall. Restart by tapping F8 to go into safe mode and choose the admin session. Uninstall Avast with this --> tool, then run CCleaner for cleaning in Windows, applications and registry (don’t forget to uncheck Yahoo toolbar during the installation you need to do before going into safe mode). Restart and reinstall Avast.
