Hello,
The Windows CE Edition UMPC (PC-706) that I just acquired boots to "Loading OS Image...", and doesn't go any further. No installation SD card is provided with it. What should I do? Thank you
Configuration: Windows XP / Safari 532.5

Hello, so here it is, I had the same problem at Christmas with my son's PC, you need to call Microsoft at the number on the manual of the PC "at the end" and they will send you an email with the program to download. You need to have a "blank" SD card ready and follow everything that is noted in this email in order to get the PC up and running... make sure to keep this email safe... so, I hope I have helped you.
Hello everyone,
Like many of you, I had a problem with a netbook that showed "loading OS image" at startup.
After hours of searching, I found a site that allows you to download the content of the SD cards normally provided with these devices.
I'm sharing the link to the site: http://www.netbookce.tk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2
and the content in question (VT8505): http://tails92.sepwich.com/files/easypc/VT8505Software.rar
I hope this will be helpful to you.

Sorry for the late reply; I quickly resold this UMPC indicating the reason, which, even once "booted up," only caused me problems (random disconnections despite excellent reception, choppy video playback, etc... I don't remember the SD card script, though I know that France-Loisirs provides this card to its customers who bought this product from them; moreover, for Orange subscribers, one of their services indicates by email the procedure to follow or sends someone to install it for a fairly high fee compared to the product price (110 Euros if I remember correctly). If I had foreseen this, I would have made a copy of the script; you should find someone who has the card. Best of luck. Philippe.
Hi. I'm replying to myself as this may interest others in my situation: I contacted my dealer, who will provide me with the boot SD card, which he only does on request, claiming that some computers boot up without any issues. Apparently, these devices arrive from China to France with a card that "disappears" when they are sold; at least, that's what I understood. Anyway, problem solved. See you someday.
