how to scan with epson stylus SX 415

Hello,
I can't find the scanning function on my Epson Stylus SX415 printer
there's nothing about it in the manual, yet it clearly states "scanner" on the packaging
can you help me,

Hello

You can try going to Start / Programs / EPSON / EPSON Scan / Epson Scan Setting

select the scanner "EPSON NX510/SX510/TX550" (even if the printer is a SX415, the "SX410" type doesn't work for me, while the "SX510" does)

Then, choose between local and network (and enter the IP address if Network is checked: 192.168.1.?)

For me, after adjusting this, I was able to get the scanner to work.

Hello,

to scan with the Epson multifunction printers, you need to install the Epson Scan program on your PC,

you can download it here in drivers and software

http://www.epson.fr/Imprimantes-et-multifonctions/Imprimantes-jet-d-encre/Epson-Stylus-SX415/Support?_DARGS=/jsps/support/modules/mainContent.jsp

then once the program is installed, just open it and click on scan; the default recordings are saved in My Pictures.

Hello, I just bought this printer, but the scanning function doesn't work, and the software crashes, asking me to reinstall it every time.

I even downloaded the driver from Epson, but nothing works; the scanning function does not work on Windows 7...

I have the same problem: no button to scan on the machine...  The software says: scanning not possible.  Yet, the drivers are installed.  Wow

I found it!

Right-click on "This PC"
Properties

"Click" Hardware

"Click" Device Manager

"Right-click" Epson scanner (an exclamation mark appears)

Search for driver with Windows (yes)

Restart the computer

And there you go!!
