Hello,

I would like to have a horizontal line that automatically appears in the middle of the page in a document.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Thank you

Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.0.19

    An idea:

    Go to the text area (by View/Header and Footer), scroll down to the center of your page, and with the line tool, draw a line that goes from one margin to the other at the center of your page. Return to your page.

    To calculate the center, place the vertical ruler. Optionally, open a new file with the same margins as the one you are working on and go to Layout Page Setup/Center. Your cursor will position itself at the center; note the corresponding cm.
    Return to your file and follow the procedure I wrote at the beginning.

    You will have this on all your pages. If you only want a few pages like this, you need to create a section.

    Hello,

    by typing three dashes, underscores, or equal signs, Word automatically draws a line that goes from one margin to the other;
    Confirm by pressing Enter

    See you!

      Yes, but you have to repeat the process on all your pages if you want your line on the entire document. By using the text box, you save time; plus, the line doesn't move, you're all set.
