Salut,
il y a sans doute qqch a faire du coté du xorg.conf ...
sinon, il me semble que tu peux lancer l'utilitaire de configuration mandrake
en root :
diskdrake
là tu choisis la souris qui te correspond, ou a défaut la plus simple possible (genre 3 boutons).
eventuellement tu peux ensuite relancer diskdrake pour prendre une souris qui te correspond mieux, avec 42 boutons, etc etc, mais pour commencer, choisis la plus simple...

je crois que j'ai une idée!!!
j'avais pas saisi qu'il y avait le touchpad aussi.....
bon, alors, ca se passe dans /etc/X11/xorg.conf
tu dois avoir qqch comme :
tu dois en avoir un pour le touchpad et un pour la souris...
il te suffit de retirer l'option "CorePointer" du touchpad et de le mettre a la souris ...
pour plus de détails, ca serait pas mal que tu nous copies ton fichier /etc/X11/xorg.conf ici...

Pas etonnant que ca marche pas !

par contre si tu pouvais en dire plus sur le moyen de résoudre ce pb...
les manips à faire, quel bout de texte coller ici où là..
quel commande à executer...
bref un truc qui fasse que je mette pas la m... partout ;p

Je fais une copy de l'actuel fichier, (en root).
Je modifie selon tes consignes.

Si jamais je n'ai plus du tout de souris (touch pad désactivé), c'est pas trop compliqué de s'en sortir. Genre c'est quoi l'équivalent de la touche Windows, pour rentrer dans K.

Si ca marche pas, tu remodifies comme avant avec la console:
ctrl+alt+F1 pour ouvrir une console virtuelle
$su
#vi /etc/X11/xorg.conf
avec "i" pour modifier "echap" pour sortir de ce mode puis tu tapes ":wq"
pour sortir en enregistrant.
Redemarre.

En fait au redémarrage, la GUI ne s'est pas ouverte... (3 sec d'angoisse...)
Mais fort de mes 24 h de Linux d'expérience, j'ai fait tout comme un grand en ligne de commande pour recopier l'ancienne config.
Je redémarre en me disant que, vu que c'est l'ancienne config, ça aura rien changé... et là, magie ma souris USB marche.
Manque juste la molette à activer
si vous avez une explication à ce qui c'est passé.

c'est le comportement par défaut ca!

bon, alors, tres bien, la souris fonctionne si j'ai bien tout suivi...
alors la suite : la molette!
donc comme tu maitrises la ligne de commande, on va aller faire ca brut de décoffrage dans le /etc/X11/xorg.conf
tu l'edites, et au niveau de la souris :
ca c'est ce que j'ai moi sur le fixe (donc sans touchpad)
l'option CorePointer permet de dire que c'est la souris principale,
ZaxisMapping : ca c'est pour la molette
si tu veux le touchpad en plus (mais là je garantit plus rien, donc a toi de refaire la manip "sauvegarde" au cas ou...)
tu peux tenter une section en plus :

ca c'est ce que j'ai moi sur le fixe (donc sans touchpad)
l'option CorePointer permet de dire que c'est la souris principale,
ZaxisMapping : ca c'est pour la molette
si tu veux le touchpad en plus (mais là je garantit plus rien, donc a toi de refaire la manip "sauvegarde" au cas ou...)
tu peux tenter une section en plus :
Section "InputDevice" Identifier "Touchpad" Driver "mouse" Option "SendCoreEvents" "true" Option "Device" "/dev/psaux" Option "Protocol" "auto-dev" EndSection

C' est bien ce que je pensais c' est pas le meme driver, t' es passé de "explorerPS/2" a "IMPs/2".
T' as pas du vraiment restauré le fichier original.
Comprends pas comment t' as fait.

Normal, la molette est pas geré comme sous win.
tu peux faire defiler le texte en la tournant mais faut pas s'en servir comme troisieme bouton.

En fait j'ai dû réessayer mousedrake entre le moment où j'ai copier le premier Xorg.conf et le dernier.
Cependant entre le moment ou j'ai fait : copy du fichier .conf pour sauvegarde, modification de la copie, redémarrage (en bash), restauration de l'ancienne version, la config n'avait pas changé le résultat sur la souris.
Peut être est ce que le fait de redémarrer qui a permis de reconnaitre la clef ?
Et pour la molette, elle ne fonctionne pas en molette (c'est à dire pasen défilement mais seulement en 3ième bouton)

Il y a un problème. Diskdrake, c'est l'utilitaire pour gérer les partitions. Il ne s'occupe pas du tout de souris ....

L'application moudedrake ne résout pas mon problème.
Ma sourie USB reste lamentablement inactive.
Que faire ? mon touch pad m'agace ;-)
