Latency issue with Mixcraft [Resolved]

Hello everyone,
I hope I'm addressing the right place, if not, sorry -- ...
For a little while now, I've decided to set up a home studio. I have a laptop running Windows 7, an external sound card Cakewalk UA-25 EX from Roland, an electric piano TG-8860 from Ringway, all connected to my Mixcraft 4.5 evaluation version software. My problem is that when I play virtual instruments using my MIDI cable, there is a 1.5 second delay between the moment I hit a note on my piano and the moment I hear the sound. However, when I'm not using virtual instruments, I have no problem getting the sound directly from my piano. I would like to know if I can remove this delay.

I hope I was clear XD
Thank you in advance

I found a solution, it was simply a latency issue, I switched from Wave to Asio in the preferences, and since then, no more problems.

Thank you very much, it helped me a lot. I had the same issue while I was working on a track for a week.
