Hello,
I'm explaining my BIG problem because I haven't found any answers yet.
And I'm counting on you to help me, because it's driving me crazy!
I signed up for the "AdultFriendFinder" site at the end of 2009.
Of course, I had to provide my Visa credit card number to subscribe to their offers.
I know, I made a big mistake, I realize that very well today.
I unsubscribed from it about two months ago now.
BUT the site continues to withdraw money from my account (between 36 and 39 euros depending on the month).
When I try to access my account again, I am unable to do so because according to the site my account is deactivated (which makes sense, I had unsubscribed a few months before).
I tried to retrieve my login information, but the site tells me that my email address blocks all their emails as requested.
BUT when I go to the settings of my Hotmail email, the site is not on the list of blocked sites.
It does appear in the list of allowed sites.
I tried to contact them through their "Help" section to know how to stop all withdrawals... and out of the ten messages sent, only TWO have reached my Mailbox.
So the first contradiction: how can I receive two emails when supposedly my Hotmail Mail blocks them???
Then in those emails, the site tells me in these terms:
"Dear Member.
We have reviewed your situation; however, we were unable to find a recent subscription charge on your account. If your bank statement or credit card shows otherwise, please fax us this statement, and we will be happy to adjust your account immediately.
Our fax number is: (1)-1-408-745-5680.
For security reasons, please include the following information in your fax
* Username
* Password
* Email address
* The site involved
* The reasons for the fax
Thank you.

Who tells me this isn't a scam??
Giving my bank statements is way too dangerous considering they can't even stop my subscription when I ask them to!!
And in the second email concerning my login information, here is their response:
"Dear Member.
Thank you for contacting us.
We are glad to be able to help you. Upon reviewing your account, we found that you have several usernames associated with your email address. Please let us know the username you want to reactivate or for which you need assistance. Below are the usernames we have in our records:
Old:
New:
We look forward to your response so that you can then log back in and enjoy our site.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask us by email.
Thank you.

And you can see that no "old" or "new" username appears!!
I'm living a real puzzle with this darn site which, let's face it, has done me no good, just drained my bank account.
I am also responsible for having given my credit card number, but I must be able to find a solution to contact them and clarify the situation!!
My bank certifies to me that it is impossible for me to block the charges since I gave my credit card numbers of my own accord.
And only legal action could possibly resolve the issue.
But if it takes months for possibly no results in the end...
Please help me find a solution to contact this damn site... Or I don't know what....:(
Thank you

Hi there... my boyfriend went through the same thing... what he did!? He simply canceled his credit card and then requested another one, it doesn’t take long and it’s effective!!
Do you want to know the funniest part... is that I just signed up for this site without knowing that it’s with AdultFriendFinder that my guy had problems!! So funny!

kitt
but for me it's you! so funny! Anyway, yes, the best solution is to "cut" off their supply source; so notify their bank and change their account. What a nest of problems these sites are! Too bad, this site isn't too bad..
The important thing is to not make the same mistake again, and I think the best solution is to cancel the card as "I" said.
Wow, hello, I’m experiencing exactly the same issues. I agree, it’s a real puzzle trying to reach them, especially with their responses that make no sense! I’m wondering what recourse I can have. In fact, I think I should “point” them out to my bank and block the withdrawals. But it’s not easy to expose oneself in stories like this. Oh well, I’ll go for it. Scam & Co, these sites! And yes, I should have... not communicated my credit card number, well, I made a big mistake and I’d like to fix it.
PLEASE HELP US RESOLVE THIS ISSUE

Oh lalalala, it's not at all. It's simple, I just did it. You need to go to the homepage of adultfriendfinder
_click on my account
_click on billing history $ credit card information
_click on pause
_click on deactivate
that's all
be careful not to confuse unsubscribe and subscription cancellation
to unsubscribe, you lose your username and password; that's it, your payments continue
subscription cancellation is the stop of payments, but your username and password are not deleted, you can come back whenever you want
that's what I just did, I paused it. The payment date means I won't be able to access the site, because my payment has not been processed at my request.
for you, you'll need to create a new username and password to log in. Bye

Adultfriendfinder is a real bunch of notorious crooks:
I signed up just to take a look for 7 euros a year ago and I just realized they charged me 152 euros!!!!! Thieves.
Fortunately, the law has provided for this:
1) block your card
2) request a full refund of the stolen amounts from your bank under Articles L 133-18 and following of the Monetary and Financial Code.
You can call 0811 02 02 17 to speak to the fraud police.
No need to file a complaint since your card wasn't stolen. It’s the number that was fraudulently used. This card number belongs to your bank, not to you, so it’s up to them to sort it out.
For any online purchase, check that the company selling to you is registered under the European commercial code (0820 200 999). And before entering your card number, make sure that the web address starts with https; if there’s no S at the end, run away and put away your card.
Good luck!!!
