Pb d'installation de matlab sous debian

Je suis depuis quelque temps sous debian lenny (aprés avoir passé par ubuntu), je voudrai installer matlab (logiciel de calcul numérique propriétaire) car les équivalents gratuit ne me conviennent pas. je me suis procuré une copie du cd d'installation qui contient un repertoire nommé "matlab_2008_linux" qui n'est pas compréssé, à l'intérieur il y a un fichier script appellé "install" sans l'extension .sh, un fichier texte "license.txt" qui doit etre la license du produit ainsi qu'un repertoire nommé "crack" qui contient la clé du logiciel et un fichier texte appelé "lic_standalone.dat". j'ai copié le repertoire entier dans /opt (pas besoin de decompresser) et je lance le fichier script en tapant en tant que root:
./install
et j'obtient ceci:

le programme à l'air de bien vouloir se lancer mains quand je tape
a
pour [accept] voici ce que j'obtient:

je ne comprend pas le pb, est ce que c'est un pb de droit d'execution (et dans ce cas comment proceder) ou bien est-il du au logiciel lui meme (incompatibilité avec debian ou a cause du crack). quelqu'un a t-il une idée. priére de m'aider car je débute sous debian.
ps: un ami à moi l' a installer sous fedora sans aucun pb!
