Hello,
First of all, I want to thank you for the existence of this site, which I have been consulting for several years and from which I have always been able to get answers to my questions by reading the forums that others have created without ever signing up.
But today, I am reaching out to you with a very specific question...
I received an EPSON EH-TW490 projector for Christmas.
I am very happy with it, but I cannot read video files from a USB flash drive, and there is no complete manual in the box (just a quick user guide for fast use).
Anyway, here is my question: what format (mp4? avi? mkv? ...) do video files need to be in to be detected AND played by my EPSON projector?
And as a bonus question: do you know of any software on MAC (Toast?) to convert videos into the required format?
The projector detected video files in avi format, but when I tried to play them, it was impossible. Then, I converted them to mp4, and the projector was no longer able to detect them at all. (Maybe I just "messed up" the conversion...)
Thank you very much in advance
and I wish you happy holidays.
Brice.

the USB-C port is for "jpeg" images
no video files-

it's not because there is a USB port that it will read all available formats, for that you should use a PC or a multimedia gateway
a remark but everyone has their point of view
the end of "xp" soon, many people still have a machine running "xp" without connecting it to the internet (that goes without saying) just connect it to the TV or projector and go through that .... to read any video or photo file etc etc .... -

Here is what I found for your projector; as you can see, there are some restrictions regarding format and bitrate in chapter 4.6 (for video), however the reference is for the 410m and not the 410.
