Cisco C2950 => since when is the port down?

Hello,
I don't know if there's a command that provides this information, but I'm trying just in case ;)

What I'm looking for: a Cisco command for Catalyst switches that allows me to find out how long a fastethernet or gigabit port has been in the "DOWN" state.

I should add that I monitor my switches with NAGIOS/CENTREON, so I have an SNMP view, but it can be useful to have this command as well. Indeed, we don't always have Nagios at hand.

Best regards,

Charlie

"sh int f0/5 link" for the 4500

"sh int fa0/5 | i ast input" for the others

Have you tried "sh (ip) int fa0/1" or "sh controllers fa0/1"?

Thank you for your response, unfortunately none of these commands provide the shutdown time of a port.

Just to inform others, here are the results of the commands:

    switch#sh controllers fastEthernet 0/1 utilization
    Receive Bandwidth Percentage Utilization: 0
    Transmit Bandwidth Percentage Utilization: 0

    switch#sh ip interface fastEthernet 0/1
FastEthernet0/1 is up, line protocol is up

I think this type of information cannot be retrieved...

I specify the IOS version of my switches:

    Cisco Internetwork Operating System Software
IOS (tm) C2950 Software (C2950-I6Q4L2-M), Version 12.1(22)EA4a, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

And I remind you that I am looking for a command that provides the equivalent of sysuptime but for a port.

Thanks to everyone if you have any suggestions :)

    try sh interfaces short

but I don't think what you want is possible, especially for a down interface.
