[WEBCAM]Logitech not detected

Question

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my Logitech QuickCam* 8.2.0. Indeed, after properly installing the software for this webcam and the associated drivers, my PC does not detect the webcam. However, my PC did recognize new hardware detected, and when I go to my device manager, I can see "Logitech USB Camera" displayed, but it states that it is not working properly.    Maybe my USB ports are not working properly, or there is an installation issue?    I would really like to get your opinion on this question and, if possible, have a solution.    Thanks in advance.

Hello riktaz007  for detecting the right drivers and downloading them http://www.touslesdrivers.com/index.php?v_page=29 and click on "Start detection" accept the ActiveX control let it run and a page will display with files in blue by clicking on the link, you will download the right drivers  see you later -- No link on the web page in English I'm already stealing enough on my own.

Thank you for your response!    After following the steps you mentioned, they suggested that I download motherboard drivers.   Will this solve my issue?   If I have to go this route, do I have to uninstall the old motherboard drivers?

I performed the check after installing the motherboard drivers, and it indicated that no problems were detected in all the peripherals (display, sound, music, etc.).  So this means there is no conflict with my drivers.   However, when I launched the detection, they suggested 2 driver packs to download. Should I download the second one, or is one enough? Because after downloading the first driver pack, it didn't resolve my webcam detection issue.   Thank you for your input.

Honestly, THANK YOU "old clumsy bison"; thanks to you, I finally managed to get this ... webcam detected. I don't know if it's thanks to http://www.cosine.com.tw/Download/docs/Win98Drv1130_8.2.exe or due to the uninstallation and reinstallation of the first and second driver packs offered on the site http://touslesdrivers.com because I applied both solutions at the same time, but it doesn't matter; it's the result that counts. Hello floflo41250  You are on Win 98 / ME??? If you have an installation CD for your webcam, did you install the software without the webcam plugged in??? And then plug it in afterwards  Did you check for your drivers on the provided CD (directory: Drivers or Win2X....) through the "New hardware detected" window (not automatically)  See you later -- No links on the web page in English I'm already flying solo enough

I had a bit of trouble before my computer detected it, but now every time I want to use it for a photo or for Windows Live Messenger, I receive this message: "The webcam is being used by another application. Close the application that is using the camera and press the reconnect button." The problem is that I have no other applications open, and when I click the reconnect button, I get the same message again. Hello, After 2 months of complete wasted time, reinstalling that damn XP Pro and downloading the complete collection of drivers for my Logitech cam with 56k forever, XP keeps telling me: "an error has occurred, it may be that the thing doesn’t work properly" (has anything ever worked properly in the real world?). I've updated my BIOS and done all the usual stuff, but it’s still not enough. I don't have any other devices to test. Linux isn't even worth it, hahaha. What should I do? Buy another computer, call for an airstrike, or just buy a rope since it costs less? :) My parents always told me that anything worth doing is worth doing well, hahaha. I know there are mistakes.

Good evening, I had a hard time installing Windows Live Messenger, but I managed to get it working on Vista! It wasn't easy; after a month and a half of struggle, I finally managed to get in touch with my niece using her webcam. I bought a webcam thinking I would contact my sister, who is thousands of kilometers away. I was able to see and hear her, but she could see me but couldn't hear me. I have the Logitech QuickCam Connect and I had installed the software that came with it, ignoring an issue that came up during the webcam connection. Then I selected the first option for sound... camera... My sister had no sound, and since I was in a very small frame below, I decided to uninstall everything to reinstall it. I was offered an update that I did, but with unspecified microphones. I tried all the suggested microphones, but now I can't see or hear anything, and the program closes every time I try to respond to a video call. I can only communicate through written messages. I just uninstalled all Logitech programs. Can you help me and suggest a solution?

Well, if I follow your steps, I don't see the word WDM in (audio, video, and game control) (note: when I connect the camera, I see the word (CIF Single Chip) at the top next to other devices) (what I see when I connect the camera in the taskbar) but nothing else.
