Vistaquest FS-500-1 Operation

Hello,
I received a "vistaquest FS-500-1" slide scanner as a gift, and I can't get it to work. The Arc Soft installation is fine, the OVT-Scanner hardware is recognized, but I can't scan slides.
Dell hardware, Windows 7.

Can someone help me, thank you in advance.
Configuration: Windows 7 Internet Explorer 8.0

    I just bought one
    1/plug the power cord into the device, LID CLOSED
    2/OPEN THE LID
    3/WITH 1 OF THE 2 BUTTONS ON TOP, CHOOSE THE FILM
    4/CONFIRM: BUTTON NEAR THE RED LIGHT
    5/FOR SLIDESHOW: THE FLAG still with 1 of the 2 buttons on top
    6/CONFIRM: BUTTON NEAR THE RED LIGHT
    7/insert the FILLED SLIDE HOLDER from right to left
    8/Confirm (the image disappears for a moment)

    unplug the power supply and connect it to the micro DIRECTLY

      Hello,
      Once the memory is full, how do you clear it? They say to format it but don’t specify which button or icon to use. Then, after loading slides, I have a square on the last photo, no explanations in the manual, and everything is blocked.

      Thank you, but it seems to me that you are not using the model I have: vistaquest FS - 500-1 for slides: with the inscription above: FS 500-1 then PWR with a small light underneath - and COPY with a gray button below and further down FILMSCANNER. Can you provide me with information? Thank you.
