first, noobs, if you want help, you must mention which graphics card and operating system at a minimum (better, which PC, e.g. Toshiba Satellite x650)
.You will need logic and patience...

1/ update the drivers and DirectX (on TLD for example),

2/ Check the vendor's website for the computer and graphics card (Acer, HP, NVIDIA) as they sometimes release compatibility patches for known issues on certain models that are incompatible with the OS or others

3/ Disable the screen turn-off in the power options (I also disable that damn hibernation)

4/ boot: in VGA mode (if no access to VGA mode, safe mode) if everything is okay in VGA mode, it's the drivers and/or the graphics card

3/check the hardware:
test on another screen and/or with another cable (a VGA cable for €10 and try on the TV) if the same happens, it’s certainly the card or the drivers.
Check that the graphics card does not need additional power (PCIe power connector)
to check the card, first test the temperature (especially for fanless models) depending on specifications of your card if you don’t want to bother, say that over 90°C is too hot, if too hot, vacuum it, still too hot, add a fan, still too hot, go to vapochild (just kidding). If you notice nothing abnormal, check how it behaves under heavy workload, there are burn-in test tools for that (I believe Sandra does it) or a benchmark

4/ if the drivers are okay, the card isn’t overheating, the screen/cable are good, and it’s acting up, disable hardware acceleration, if it works well like this, it’s the card that has a problem either hardware due to overheating or electrical/magnetic damage or a software/firmware issue. If it's hardware, my expertise ends here, generally, we replace the card. For software issues, the last resort is to flash the graphics card's BIOS, which should be handled with extreme caution.

It looks like a driver issue or hardware problem; in this case, you should disable hardware acceleration. If everything works normally (except for 3D-related tasks, of course), then the graphics card has a problem. Often, flashing the GPU BIOS resolves the issue.

yeah that's true, a VGA cable for €10 and you try it on the TV, usually they all have a VGA port, if it works properly, it's the monitor that's the issue

I have the same problem, but for me it lasts 1/2 hour! (or even longer, but that's rare)

I've been living with this for a year, and it's starting to annoy me, ...... .
At one point I thought it was a virus, but I ran a scan with 3 ANTIVIRUS programs, and I found nothing, ZIP!
Then, my brother changed the power management settings, the bits, the drivers, the ........ BUT NOTHING!!!!
So, there you go .... Does anyone have an answer to this phenomenon that is starting to irritate me?!

it's a burnt capacitor, bad luck, it should get worse.

type cmd in run then sfc /scannow it looks like an explorer crash then chkdsk c: /X/R/F it could also be due to defective sectors.

I would rather say that it's the antivirus scanning on opening...

I would rather disable hibernation.

UP? The problem hasn't been resolved after several Windows restorations. I launched the restart tool and it still happens after many boots... I don't know if I should buy another screen or if the problem comes from my PC, which I've been using normally with this screen for nearly 3 years.

Apparently what I have looks like an inverter failure, because I noticed that my screen is still visible but VERY VERY faintly, so I need to change it or buy another screen.
