Emoji issues with Messenger

Hello everyone.
I am using MSN Messenger 7.0 with Messenger Plus! 3.54. And for the past few days, when I go to the MSN Messenger 7.0 section: Emoticon. I can insert it into my text bar, it displays normally but when I hit enter, only the shortcut appears in the conversation window. And if I insert it into my text bar with Messenger Plus! 3.54, it is indeed there but only the shortcut appears in the text bar and of course in the conversation window. I’ve tried reinstalling Messenger 7.0 and Messenger Plus! 3.54 but it didn’t help... here’s my problem. Does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks in advance!

I am using the latest version of Messenger with MsgPlusLive. I no longer receive all the emoticons that I used to receive before. It's not the codes that appear. However, I can see when someone sends me one because it leaves a blank space. It's not a version problem since the people sending them to me have the same version. I also checked that everything was properly checked in Options/Messages/
I can't see what's wrong... If you could help me out! It would save me from having conversations with blanks...
