Hello,
I have a problem with the numeric keypad of a Packard Bell EasyNote laptop that has stopped functioning correctly. The +, /, *, -, Enter, and scrolling keys work. However, I cannot type any numbers with the keys on the numeric keypad even though the Num Lock key is activated. I visited the websites
https://www.pcastuces.com/newsletter/adj/2216.htm
http://www.linternaute.com/...
where I received instructions to reset the "regedit" = "registry editor" but to no avail. I have the impression that these instructions are valid if the numeric keypad didn't work from the first startup of the computer.
Can someone please help me?

Hello
I had the same problem. I know it has been a long time since you asked the question, but here’s perhaps an answer for those to come
For Seven, you need to:
1 Control Panel
2 Ease of Access Center
3 Make the mouse easier to use
4 Uncheck the box (Turn on Mouse Keys)
5 Apply
And there you go, in principle it should work; for me it worked
A thousand apologies for the mistakes, I’m terrible at French.

Hi,
Before going into the registry and making the remedy worse than the problem, on the top left of your numeric keypad you should have a Num Lock key, click on it and test the numeric keypad
What is the version of your Packard Bell EasyNote

Hello,
If you have a numeric keypad, you also have access to the numeric values above the letters. Lock the caps lock and enter your code with these keys

Hello SmartWay,
I followed your procedure, but I don't have a "troubleshoot" button or tab. I have a "change settings" button, and when I click on it, I get a window with 4 tabs: "general, driver, details, and resources," but there's no "troubleshoot" anywhere.
I would like to clarify that I have a Packard Bell EasyNote HERA G.

I have a problem; the numeric keypad works except for the numbers, and clicking on Num Lock doesn't do anything... I'm stuck as I can't open my computer due to not being able to type the password... I have Windows 7 (Emachines brand)... does anyone have a solution... I'm using my mother's computer, which is a Packard Bell.
thank you very much for your help, I have been looking for a solution for months...
And it works again thanks to you!!!!
Thank you so much.
