Hello,

It's been a while since I asked the question and explained my problem, without any response...

So I'll be brief:

I have an inverter, and I want to pass Ethernet through it because of the layout of my house.

Thank you for your help, I have been suffering from recurring internet failures for almost 2 years and no one has been able to help me!
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello Sanader,
What do you mean by running Ethernet through your UPS???
- to protect your local network against surges??? In that case, most major brand UPS units offer a protected RJ45 port (one IN port and one OUT port)
- something else???

Hello,

This is a bit of a late response, but I solved my problem! In fact, there was a difference in current strength between my two floors that was preventing Ethernet from functioning properly. The uninterruptible power supply (UPS) helped to regulate the current strength, allowing Ethernet to work well everywhere.

For those who have the same problem, the installation goes like this:

Internet source (Router for example) > RJ45 cable > UPS input > RJ45 cable UPS output > Ethernet socket (LAN).

That's it.
