I have DVI ports and regular cable ports on my graphics card and monitor.
What are these DVI ports for??? What is the point?
Thank you.

Usually, the cable that connects the computer to the monitor carries an analog signal (VGA connector).
DVI allows for direct transfer of digital signals.
In theory, this allows for much better image quality, especially for LCD screens.

Hello,
My question is also about the DVI output. On my old 7800GT and my new 8800GT, I have 2 DVI outputs, and I saw that there are cables that create only one output with 2 inputs. What is this exactly for???
