Hello,

in Illustrator CS4 when I select a rectangle for example with the black arrow, the scaling or rotation handles do not appear automatically, I have to select the scale tool to resize and I'm wasting a lot of time.

yet on the computer I have at work under CS4, as soon as I select an object the handles appear which is a fantastic time saver. I've looked through the preferences, and nothing is helping, and it's really a problem for me...

please let me know if you know where this can be fixed, is it a software update?

thank you for your help.

Hello,

Have you tried: View>Show Selection Frame (Shift+Ctrl+B)?

Yes, thank you, I actually just found a topic that discussed this, so that question is all good...
However, I have a problem with a personal symbol library that I created; I can’t add more symbols to it, so I have to use the default library and create a lot of symbols??... I haven't found a solution yet, if you have any ideas, I've opened a topic about it, thanks...
