Samsung GT-S3100 connection issue

Hello,
I have a Samsung GT-S3100 phone and downloaded Samsung PC Studio and even Samsung New PC Studio on my eePC (Windows XP). The phone connected via USB cable is not recognized and cannot be synchronized. I think I'm missing the USB driver. How can I obtain it? Or what should I do?

    Hello, I have the same problem: no cord in the packaging and I'm waiting for a response from my seller. To Nanou, the "PC connection is in position 8 of the laptop settings.

      Hello, I'm having trouble connecting as well, but for the USB cable, I found one while buying the car charger (cigarette lighter adapter + USB cable).

      Hello, two things are needed: the PC studio software and a data cable, and then it works. The USB cable used for charging only allows battery charging.

      I had issues with detection with the cable too, and so with the downloaded file, it works great, but it wasn't specified to use a specific file! So thank you for your advice.

      Bonjour, pour lier votre portable Samsung GT 15503 à votre PC, vous aurez besoin d'un logiciel appelé Samsung Kies ou Smart Switch, selon la compatibilité de votre appareil. Vous pouvez télécharger l'un de ces logiciels à partir du site officiel de Samsung. Assurez-vous d'avoir le bon câble USB pour la connexion entre votre téléphone et votre ordinateur.       Even with New PC Studio, it's not working; that's what Samsung told me to download, and nothing. They don't care about us... my GT-S5230 is still not recognized. When will Samsung really help its customers...

    I recently bought an S3100, and there was no USB cable in the box; it was listed on the accompanying box. When I returned to the seller, a large store, he found that none of these mobiles had a USB cable. The seller then wrote me an order (crossed-out invoice) and will let me know as soon as they have some.
    Later, the store put up a sign saying "Erratum" announcing that the S3100 was delivered without a USB cable.

    I conclude:
    Either this store got "robbed" of the cables. (the box, which was under closed plastic, had been opened).
    Or some realized that the connection wasn’t working and removed the cables?????.

        Hello, I bought this FAMOUS Samsung S3100 15 days ago, no USB cable, so I bought one, but the result is terrible, it doesn't work, my computer doesn't recognize it. I downloaded all the software and drivers that matched this phone, nothing more, I was told I would need a memory card that isn't included with the phone of course... so all this is starting to cost me a lot with no results. I hope you will manage better than I did and that you can help me solve this problem. Thank you.

    I was advised to do this on the internet and it works!!

    You go to your settings -> phone -> PC connection -> and choose "always ask"
    now when you connect it to your PC it will ask you what you want to do (Samsung PC Studio or mass storage)

      I have Windows 7 and a Samsung USB cable (specific to this phone?); my PC recognizes the GT-S3100 phone and initializes the drivers (visible in the system tool; USB) but no connection is possible.
      I installed the "Samsung New PC Studio," along with its update, and everything is working fine now.
