What is Fancy Start for?

Hello,
I just acquired a laptop from ASUS running Windows 7.
Upon startup, it automatically launches a program from Asus: Fancy Start.
My question is: what is the purpose of this program? I can't find the beginning of an answer by searching the Asus website or the Internet...
