Order of photos on USB drive

Hello,
I have a problem with my USB drive that I can't seem to resolve.
Here it is. I copied my vacation photos to my PC, and I carefully arranged them one by one in numerical order so that they follow my journey properly.
I copied and pasted these photos onto my USB drive.
Several times, I checked the contents of my USB until they were perfectly organized. So I am sure of their numbering.
In another attempt, I even renamed them one by one, calling them, for example, china1, china2, china3...
So I'm certain they are well organized
On my PC, I view them on the USB, and everything is fine.
But when I plug my USB into my DVD player or digital frame, the photos don’t follow the order anymore and play in a random order!!!!!
I am really at a loss; if someone could help me? I would be very grateful. Thank you in advance
Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

    Good evening Mona 86
In a file explorer, whether it's from your USB drive or your PC, files are displayed according to a filter, in alphabetical order if you click on the "name" tab or in reverse order if you click again...
The same goes if you add the "creation date" field or whatever you want.
