Hello, I was infected by Cyber security. I looked into the posts on this subject, especially the post by sophie13 and the replies from ric025 (https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-14971814-infecte-par-cyber-security I downloaded MBAM and managed to install it. However, MBAM shuts down immediately after execution, making it impossible to use. Moreover, I can no longer access the Windows uninstall programs function (the Control Panel window is now empty and I can't go into any of the submenus). I also attempted to use an automatic patch for Cyber security, which did not work either. I am hesitant to use ComboFix without the help of a specialist given the warnings regarding its use and my limited skills in this area. Can anyone advise me? Thank you.

---> Download ToolsCleaner2 to your Desktop.
* Right-click on ToolsCleaner2.exe and choose Run as administrator.
* Click on Search and let the scan run.
* Click on Delete to complete the process.
* You can, if you wish, use the Optional Options.
* Click on Exit to get the report.
* Post the report (TCleaner.txt) found at the root of your hard drive (C:\).

* Launch it. Go to Options then Advanced and uncheck the box Delete only files etc....
* Go to Cleaner, select Analyze. Once finished, start the cleaning process.

Toolscleaner2 does not respond every time I launch it, even though I run it as an admin. I just checked the forum. Apparently, I'm not the only one experiencing this: https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-15212261-probleme-toolscleaner2

Moreover, I'm not sure I remember how to activate/deactivate the UAC settings you mentioned. Everything we've done has also led to the appearance of hidden files like desktop.ini (I have two on my desktop, is that normal?).
