Bonjour,

I just bought a Philips BDP3000/12 Blu-ray.
I would like to make it region-free.
How can I do that?

Thank you
Configuration: Mac OS X Firefox 3.5.3

    No disk in tray
    1-Press "Home" key
    2-Press number keys "1389310"

Region free effective only for DVD, not for blu-ray.

    Bye

Region unlocking of the Philips BDP 3000

Power on with no disc in tray
    Press HOME
    Enter 138 931 0

    It works very well

Hello, and for the Philips Blu-ray series 5000. How to unlock the region?
I'm searching on all forums. Impossible to find.
    Does anyone have the answer?
    Thank you

    Hello

I succeeded and I was able to read a zone 1 DVD. Is there a risk of no longer being able to watch a DVD from the region predefined by the player, therefore 2

I have the Philips BP 3000/12 player
    Thank you

    Hello,

Indeed, the code works very well for reading zone 1 DVDs but not for reading imported English Blu-rays - I would like to be able to read my English Blu-rays -

does anyone have a solution? Philips Blu-ray player BDP 3000 - Thank you (I have Spider-Man 3 and Harry Potter 1 to 5 in English import and can't read them, it's frustrating!)

So a big thank you to those who will help me.

    Hello,

So I have an answer for the 2010 movie that isn't playing

    Hi everyone,

I finally solved the problem with the 2012 Blu-ray that isn't playing on the Philips BDP 3000. The solution is as follows: download the 1006.1 update (the one that works for Terminator 4), then extract it (with WinRAR) which will give you a file named UPG that you put as is on a USB stick and then plug it into the player; then in the player menu go to settings, then advanced config and there you have "download from USB". Do it and it will ask you if you're sure you want to proceed (a bit like Windows where it asks you before performing an action) and here you need to refuse otherwise it won't update due to a bug, so REFUSE which will start the update process, then the player will turn off; turn it back on and put in the movie.....magical
    It works perfectly.

    Have a nice day everyone.

I have a problem with my BDP2700/12 player; it doesn't read the long version of the Blu-ray Avatar. What should I do,
      if someone has a solution?

    Hello,
I have another problem, but since we're talking about the BDP3000, I'll intrude...
I have sound that varies (compression problem) on certain DVDs (notably Kaamelott VI). The problem comes from the player since with another player (PS3) there is no issue. Furthermore, I have adjusted all the audio settings on the HD TV and the Philips, but nothing works. It's really annoying; does anyone have a similar issue?
    Thanks in advance.
P.S.: I should mention that I’m on a 2.1 audio system, but as mentioned before, this sound problem only occurs when playing on this DVD player.
