Hello, I have a very old PC (Pentium II) that had a lot of problems, so I wanted to reinstall Windows 98.
I did what was necessary, which was to format the hard disk from a boot disk, partition, basically the whole thing. The problem is as follows: when I want to reinstall Windows 98, the PC tells me: This program cannot run in DOS mode.

Can someone help me run my Windows 98 installation CD in DOS mode, please? Thank you.

    You are using the wrong installation executable, use (for the French version): 
     d:\> install.exe

    from the CDROM
