Hello,
I am trying to repair my son's Nintendo DS, which won't turn on after I disassembled it to try to change the upper screen.
Before going further, here are my questions:
If the upper screen is disconnected from the mother board via the ribbon cables, can the lower screen function on its own?
If the lower screen is poorly connected, again through the ribbon cables to the mother board, could this prevent the console from turning on?
Last question: if both screens are disconnected from the mother board, will the LED indicators light up or not when turning on the console?
And what does the orange LED (which lights up and then immediately turns off in my console) signify, with "orange" written next to it?

Yes, it can work on its own; I had already broken my DS in half and I could still play.

Yes, I think that must complicate the situation...

Well, I have no idea!...
You would need to check what the LEDs are connected to.
And what does the orange LED that lights up (and turns off immediately for my console) mean, where it is written next to it "orange"?
Are you sure it's not red? Because when it is orange, it means the DS is charging, and red means the DS has no battery, so it turns off immediately.
