You made a good purchase. My 4-year-old son won't detach from it when he goes to my sister-in-law's. I've been looking for one since November and can't find it. Like you, I'm looking for one at garage sales because it hasn't been for sale since 2007.
The rules are quite simple if I remember correctly. It's a musical memory game, sound and light. There should be three different games. One with people's names, one with sounds, and the third one I can't remember. You just have to press two ghosts that make the same "sound," and you collect the ghosts. When there are no more left, it's the one who collected the most who wins. Playing in the dark makes it a lot of fun for them. Have fun, and if you don't want it anymore, I could take it back from you ;-))

Indeed, as Aurelbes used to say, the rule is simple. First, you turn it on the side, then you choose a level (the big pink numbers on the corners): at level 1, the ghosts say names, at level 2, silly little phrases (like "Camembert!" or "Have you seen your face?") and at level 3, there are sound effects. After choosing your level, you press on a ghost and try to find which other ghost says the same thing. When you have found the two ghosts that say the same thing, you remove them, and at the end of the game, the one with the most ghosts wins!! Then you put all the ghosts back, and you either press on a level to play again, or you turn off the game!
Personally, I think you made a good purchase because I don't know a single child who hasn't liked this game!
