Hello,
I have an old JVC Compact VHS camera, model reference GR-AX79S, an analog model from 1997. My main goal is simply to find the user manual, my approach being purely sentimental.
It is about saving onto a CD, a video (still in the case) of a deceased person who owned this camera. I have a problem with the cover closure, and I don't want to make any mistakes by forcing anything.

Hello, neither on JVC nor on a specialized documentation site have I been able to find the manual... Contact someone who has it (listed for sale on various second-hand sites). However, if the cassette doesn’t fit in one way, try it the other way, without forcing it too much, there should be a position where it will go in... If you still can't get it to work, know that there are VHS-C / VHS adapters available to be able to play your small cassettes in a VCR...

It is very kind of you to respond to me. The issue I am facing is not an inversion of the cassette positioning, but simply the fact that once the cassette is correctly inserted, I absolutely cannot close the cover of the case. I am barely missing (+ or -) 3 mm.
