FTP access via browser works:
ftp://www.chez.com
then login and password
or
ftp://login:password@chez.com
but I don't know how to use this connection mode ...
I think I understand that chez has closed port 21 or changed it for its ftp
@++
sorry for this duplicate post -
finally:
using FIREFOX, I installed the FTP plugin (fireftp) and it works wonderfully on chez.com
and apparently on port 21
(my ws_ftp v4 from 1997 might have been at its limit ...)
so for me, no more problems with "chez.com", it should be the same for you
@+ -
A priori, the situation seems to have improved,
my address chez.com no longer returns an error message and the forward works.
I have not checked the FTP
The only module that can be misleading,
if we send an email to the chez.com address from the email address of its redirection,
the email is not delivered. -
Hello,
I also used the same Tiscali/Alice email account for years, even though I am no longer subscribed.
Everything was still working well for me until last night.
It is only today that access has been denied to me, no matter which link I tried :-(
I sincerely hope that I can recover my messages (sentimental, professional, financial, etc.) and my address book... -
still in progress,
it’s not working anymore at 5 PM
it will certainly stabilize -
Hello everyone,
After experiencing the same setbacks as everyone here, Alice has revamped the login screen that I was using until now (http://webmail.aliceadsl.fr).
-> Surprise #1: the chez.com domain is back.
-> Surprise #2: bye-bye Alice webmail, there's imp instead (those who have an email with Free will understand).
-> Surprise #3: I've lost my folders in the migration!!!
They're really handling things poorly at Alice: no communication, a service that gets cut off without knowing if it will come back, and now the loss of emails!
When I called support (being an Alice ADSL subscriber, I naively thought I'd get some helpful advice on retrieving my chez.com mail) a few weeks ago, the employee told me that Alice had nothing to do with chez.com... In short, it's not looking good!
Fortunately, I found this forum thread that helped me a lot. So my question is, did you also lose your folders in this mess?
Thanks and see you later! -
Hello, today I was able to access the inbox messages, but I lost all my folders and my address book is empty :-(
Indeed, goodbye webmail... it's a mess :-( -
It works again !!!
The messaging at chez.com is back !!
On my side, I didn't lose anything in the migration because I had completely emptied my mailbox.
Indeed, I no longer have the record of the folders I had created... And I'll have to get used to a new layout...
But well, I didn't expect to see this email account again, so I'm actually quite satisfied.
It will still remain my junk mailbox!
See you! -
I have a problem with my @chez.com address since yesterday (November 19), I can no longer check my emails and those who send me messages receive an error message: 550 550 5.1.1 user unknown (UserSearch) (state 14).
Does anyone have a solution?-
I have the same problem since yesterday and I haven't been able to log in from https://webmail.aliceadsl.fr// (it tells me "Login failed for some reason. Most likely your username or password was entered incorrectly.")
I hope this is only temporary and not too long.... I need my email, I've had this email address for over 10 years!
In any case, if anyone has any information, I'm interested.
Thank you.
Laurent

Here is what they told me at postmaster@proxad.net
Hello,
Your email address has now been migrated to our Zimbra platform.
You can now log in via the following address: https://zimbra.aliceadsl.fr/
The Alice team -
Same problem as badmail
My email account at chez.com
is no longer accessible by email with a
"550 5.1.1 user unknown (UserSearch)"
and I can't log in
either at https://webmail.aliceadsl.fr// or at https://zimbra.aliceadsl.fr/
And apparently, I haven't had access to pop for about a month.
Is anyone else in the same situation?-
Hello
none of the solutions proposed above work for me
I've contacted the Alice platform 4 times and received 4 different answers (I have an old Infonie box that has migrated several times - Telecom Italia; Tiscali then Alice)
the latest response was that I received an email in October informing me of the migration from Alice to Free and the disappearance of my Infonie emails
I have to wait to recreate email accounts
of course I've never received that email and I haven't been able to access the Alice webmail since November 14

For me, everything works more or less again, and surprise this morning, I discovered how to recover my address book, there's a little checkbox at the login here:
http://webmail.aliceadsl.fr/horde/imp/login.php?url=%2Fhorde%2Fimp%2Fmailbox.php&1=1&reason=failed -
again inaccessible with outlook or has the pop changed?
actually use pop.aliceadsl.fr instead of mail.alice.fr and it works
see you+
