Resetting an eCafé

Solved

Hello, I recently bought a laptop ecafé ec-800 running Linux, and I don't know anything about it since I previously had Windows XP. I would like to know how to reset Linux as if I just bought it, knowing that it doesn't have a CD drive.
Configuration: linux

Do you have Mandriva?
Here are some sites that can help you

Resetting Linux to zero?
What do you mean by that?

Hi,

Is there no option at the PC boot (ESC key or others) that gives you access to a reset menu?

Nothing in the documentation about this?

Well, it's not really possible, like on Windows.
I mean, it's possible but it's quite complicated, so the best thing is to reformat:
since you don't have a CD drive, you'll need to use a USB stick:
For that, you can use Unetbootin, and choose your distribution.
I don't know Mandriva, so I can't help you more than that, but I'm sure if you search a bit you'll find it.
However, to get a Mandriva like the one you have (modified by Hercule), you'll probably need to go to Hercule's site.
There's a good chance they'll tell you how to do it (maybe in English)

I know it's possible because there are commands to type as soon as you turn on the computer, but I don't remember which ones.

Have you tried using the "ESC" (Escape) key?

La G has the choice between starting up and restoring factory settings
What should I choose?

Try "Getting Started" first, you'll see what it does (maybe just a system configuration).

Otherwise, choose the other one to get what you wanted in the first place: I would like to know how to reset Linux as if I just bought it

What did you end up choosing: Initial Setup or Restore?
