Hello, I downloaded a game and I installed Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%, but I don't know how to get them to work in order to open the game. There is a large .mdf file of 650MB and a .mds file of 22.2KB. Can you explain to me quite precisely? Thank you in advance.

You need to download a NoCD crack on eMule.
You rename it to yourgame.exe, copy it and paste it in the program files folder of your game to replace yourgame.exe, that way you won't need the CD anymore.
I hope I made myself clear.

The mds/mdf file duo is a disk image format for CD and DVD!
One contains the image and the other contains burning instructions! But they both must have the same name! Only the extension should change!
If you have cd1 and cd2 that's not good! Check if one is several hundred MB and the other a few KB! If so, these two files are probably the same image! Rename them with the same name, and burn! Or emulate to see!!!

Hello, I have both in the same folder with the same name, and I would like to burn it using Nero. For that, I want to convert it with the IsoPen program, but I don't know which one I should choose for the conversion! And if I need to go through Alcohol, I would like to know how to do it! I've already burned it with Alcohol (for PlayStation since it's a PSX game), and when I try to read it in the console, it tells me as if I haven't put in any CD at all! I'm completely lost!

Hi everyone!!
So I downloaded a game in MDS MDF, I install it with Alcohol and when I want to start the game, it asks me for the CD, but I burned both files to a DVD+RW, and both files have the same name (one is several MB and the other is a few KB). What should I do? Or what should I look for on Emule?

Hello,
I have a problem with a file downloaded from gamecopyworld.
I already own "The Sims 2" (DVD version) and "Glamour Stuff". Due to a lack of money, I opted to download another add-on "Nightlife" from gamecopyworld. There are 3 CDs to install this add-on, so three CD images in .mds format that I open in daemon tools. Daemon tools opens the CD images for me, but when I launch the autorun, a black window opens and closes within a few seconds, and my game does not install. So my question is:

Is it an autorun problem?
Or is it a Daemon tools issue?
Do you have a solution so I can finally install the game?

Here is what the window looks like: http://img116.imageshack.us/img116/5615/23958534mf4.jpg

Hi,

Well, I had a problem with mdf/mds to burn PS2 games; it didn't work with Daemon Tools + Nero, the PS2 didn't read the DVD, but I found the following solution: I create an ISO image from the mds+mdf files using the UltraISO program, then I burn that image with Nero and voilà! It works perfectly!

Often the solution is to keep trying again and again...

Hello Stalfos, how are you?

I need a little advice from you!

I downloaded a PS2 game and I have two files, mds and mdf, that I wanted to burn.

I looked on the internet and I saw your help.

- So I did as you said and downloaded UltraISO to convert to ISO. I did it, I downloaded UltraISO, but after that I don't know how to convert my two files?
(So I tried to search, but I wanted to know if what I did is correct. I converted my two files, mds and mdf, to ISO. The first one converted to ISO, and then UltraISO asked me if I wanted to compress the mdf file with the first ISO, and I said yes.) Is what I did correct?

Now I wanted to know how you managed to convert them?

Hello everyone, I'm sorry for the delay,
after reading the forum messages I saw that people have trouble burning PS2 games.
So here is a simple solution;

download DVDDECRYPTER and install it; during installation, it will ask you to update, tell it no
and then go to tools and choose create mds files and navigate to where your iso is located and select it, then click OK if the mds file already exists, it's very simple just right-click on the mds file and choose burning with DVDDECRYPTER (burn using DVDDECRYPTER)

and that's it.

feel free to contact me by email at korobejul@gmail.com for more info.

Hello,
I downloaded an mdf/mds file that I mounted with DAEMON, but now it tells me to insert the CD in the disc drive.
How do I crack the whole thing?
Thank you for responding quickly.

You can use WINIMAGE to convert the MDF file to an ISO file, and with this image file format, you can use NERO to burn it.

Hi,

I believe that by doing a little research on Google, you will be able to see for yourself that these are DVD image files and not CD.

Hello,
I'm 49 years old and I'm starting with computers. How do I burn a 6 GB MDF game? I need 2 DVDs. How do I do it???
And with which software? I know I'm not very skilled. Thank you for replying.

Hello everyone,

if a DVD image (iso or mdf or other) is 6 Go, it should be burned to a 9 Go DL DVD.
(For burning, you need to use image burning, not just putting the files in the compilation...)
If that's not possible, you can keep it on the hard drive and "mount" it, meaning create a virtual DVD drive that will contain the image file and will be recognized by protection systems as a DVD.
For this, you need to use Alcohol or Daemon Tools.

Hello everyone, I am a beginner in computing and after managing to download a game for my PS2, I have two files, one in MDS format and one in MDF. I don’t know what to do with them and after reading your messages, I converted the MDF file to ISO with WinImage without any issue, but I can’t convert the MDS file, it doesn’t work. I also downloaded Alcohol to burn them, but it won’t burn because it’s not my default burning software; I have NTI as my burning software. I’m struggling, can you please help me!!

I would like to know if I need to burn both the MDS and MDF files to the CD for it to work because I converted the MDF file to ISO and burned my game CD. The PlayStation logo appears and then nothing! What should I do with the MDS file? Thank you for your help, I'm struggling.

Hi, the only thing I know is that you open these two files with Alcohol 120, then you convert them to ISO image to burn your games. The MDS and MDF files are not meant to be read as they are.

Hello... It's strange, to burn an mdf+mds image I use Nero (v7 ultra) with "burn an image" then I select "all files" instead of "image files nrg, iso, etc." I select the mdf file there, burn it, and everything works correctly.

Hi everyone, the easiest way to burn an MDF + MDS file is to burn them as a normal file using Nero 7, 8, or 9, burn them onto a DVD, and then mount with Daemon Tools Lite, and that's it, you're ready to play.
The best methods are often the simplest.

Resolved: Use Demon Tools and mount the mds or mdf image, I don't remember which, and it works. I tried it with a game and a software, and everything works perfectly. Best wishes!

Hello, I would like to know how to convert an ISO file back to an MDF file because I made a big mistake by changing the file extension from MDF to ISO. The problem is that this 6GB file won't open anymore, so I would like it to return to its former beauty. I've read quite a few discussions, but none talk about this specific issue.

Thank you in advance.

Hi everyone, I'm not going to create a new topic about this, so I'm posting here instead.

So, I've never done this before, so I searched on other forums, but I don't understand. I have an MDF and MDS file that I need to burn with Alcohol 120%, but I can't seem to add both files.

Here’s what I’m doing: I open Alcohol 120%, image burn assistant, I put my MDF file in, but I can't seem to add the other one.

Am I doing this right? This is the first time I've used MDF and MDS files.

Why are you overthinking it? You just need to change the extension from .mdf to .iso and burn it with Roxio Easy Creator, and there you go.

The simplest way is PowerISO: open...tools...convert...go to your MDF file, ok, and there you go, your file is converted to ISO, and Nero, Alcohol 120 or 130, it's the same thing. :)
