Making crosses in computer writing

Hello,
I'm looking for a way to make crosses in writing using a computer, for example to insert them into a text, a MSN conversation, a Facebook username, or even a Windows Live Hotmail username. I initially thought I needed to make a "T" with a specific font, but I don't think that's it since I haven't found it...
It's possible because I've seen them in documents, or even in the "obituaries" pages of our newspapers to note the announcement of a death, listing all the first names of a family, with this small cross next to the deceased individuals. (For example, We announce the death of XY on behalf of XY and XX (the cross here).
You can also find it in dictionaries or in the Quid to note the date of death of these people.

In your case, the shortcut is: ALT+0134
Otherwise, you can do: start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Character Map.
(in this program, at the bottom right, you’ll find the shortcut for the selected character).
