Hello,
I would like to connect my home to the telecom network, but the only cable coming in is a 7-pair cable, out of which 8 strands are blue. Apparently, it's a SYT type cable, but I don't know much more than that.
I would like to know which strands to connect to the white and gray of my installation.

Thank you

    hi,
test all the pairs one by one (without unpairing the wires):
in principle, the 7 pairs are:
    White/light blue
    Dark blue/light blue
    Yellow/light blue
    Brown/light blue
    Black/light blue
    Red/light blue
    Green/light blue

    Thank you for your response.
The problem (I misspoke) is that the wires are not in pairs; there are 14 wires in the bundle (I stripped them to check).
The colors match those you mentioned, but it might take a while to test with all these blue wires!
Do you have any ideas about which colors might be more likely?
Does anyone have a similar connection at home?

      I told you:
the wires are in pairs, you need to strip further down to find the pairs, there's no other way.
once the pairs are formed, you only have 7 possibilities.
otherwise, you have to access the other end of this cable to see what's connected to it.
