Hello everyone
I've noticed that when I was surfing on "risky" sites, Avast's web shield was blocking intrusion attempts into my PC via Java. I have two questions:
- How to clear the Java cache (I don't think it's just by deleting the temporary folders of IE, especially since I'm only using Firefox 1.0.2)
- Is there a way to prevent threats that try to enter through the Java log (I should mention that I have the latest version of Java, the runtime environment 5.0). Admittedly, Avast's new web shield blocks almost all attacks, but I feel that this log (Java) is the weak link in Firefox.
Thanks in advance
P.S.: I'm using the Proxomitron software. Would banning JavaScript through this software provide better protection against this type of attack?
