    I also want to make one. I need three 5-meter-long aluminum tubes with a diameter of 50 mm for the central bar and for the two sides. I also need another tube perpendicular to the one in the center to fix the tubes together, and at the front, I need two aluminum plates to attach the three tubes at the front. For the cover, I think we should use a tarpaulin. If you want, I can send you a plan.

You need to have some knowledge of aerodynamics, as well as the resistance of materials, their reactions to moisture and temperature changes, and the ability to test in a controlled manner, etc. In short, you don't build your own equipment when you're a novice, and you know how to do it when you're not one.

      Well, we did it! With bamboo and a protective paint tarp, and we took inspiration from our kites, not a slow brain... And since we have a lot of imagination, we thought we had flown! Awesome, so cool! And it's foldable...

    There are sometimes interesting opportunities on Delta's sites that you can find on Google by searching for "hang gliding in France" or "the hang gliding bible" for the tests. To avoid getting hurt, it's better to go through a school. Good luck and happy flying!

      Hang gliders are made of carbon fiber or fiberglass. You just need to take a carbon fiber or fiberglass cloth and cut it into a triangle. The bulk of the work is done, but I can't help you with the measurements.
